  • She is a master space-holder for preparation and integration of big experiences, and a witchy companion as the psychedelic experience continues to unfold.

Amy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the psychedelic integration and education space. She is a master space-holder for preparation and integration of big experiences, and a witchy companion as the psychedelic experience continues to unfold. She understands the psyche, trauma, altered states, and the ways of many medicines, including the very important truth that each experience is absolutely unique. Working with Amy helped me begin to use psychedelics as medicine for trauma and personal disruptions, as well as for spiritual growth. Amy can truly stand on both sides of the psychedelic landscape and walk deeply with you into both the scientific and the wordless realms of the industry and experience. — Client, 2024

  • In hindsight, I can see that the “trauma-informed” label is touted by most therapists and coaches nowadays, and I can say that Amy is the first person I’ve worked with that I would recommend to anyone looking to heal from trauma.

It is hard for me to put into words the impact that Amy has had on my life. I found Amy after many years of weekly sessions with other therapists and coaches, where I felt that I was making little significant progress, and was left confused about what was wrong in the first place. After working with her for almost two years, I not only have a much clearer understanding of how trauma affects me, but the severity of my symptoms has been reduced beyond what I thought was possible. Amy’s knowledge and hands-on experience working with complex PTSD give her a perspective that has been clarifying, validating, and healing. In hindsight, I can see that the “trauma-informed” label is touted by most therapists and coaches nowadays, and I can say that Amy is the first person I’ve worked with that I would recommend to anyone looking to heal from trauma.

  • Where do you start in writing a review for therapist who has assisted you in literally changing almost every core belief system that was so flawed?

I began working with Amy right at the beginning of my divorce stages from a highly toxic and abusive individual. It took almost a full year just to get me stabilized because the other individual kept creating intentional disruptions in my life. And once I was stabilized, we began working on my belief systems to help to reframe them within me so that I would make better choices, choose better people to be in my life, and really understand that I was worthy of being loved and treated well. It was not easy and many tears were shed. And I had to do my part as well by continually showing up. Changing your core belief system requires commitment and willingness to work through the harder moments.

Amy used many different modalities with me including talk therapy, EMDR, flash therapy, and brain spotting. She was understanding of and knowledgeable about what my unique trauma experience looked like and how best to work with me. She helped me to not only survive that experience, but to actually thrive.

I remember the belief that she had in my future before I could see it and because of her undying support and vision for something for me out on the horizon, I am building a new life upon the solid foundation that she helped me to build.

I tell everyone what a gift it was that I found a real trauma informed and trauma trained therapist in Santa Fe as only those who know, know. And she is one of those rare birds who helped to teach me how to take flight. And did it with compassion.

  • Amy’s style is both supportive and challenging which allowed me to trust, learn, be authentic with my feelings and struggles.

I have worked with Amy Wong Hope for a longer period of time than I’ve ever spent with one therapist. The reason is that Amy has the professional training and expertise to treat trauma survivors with specific, proven techniques for dealing with long term issues arising from trauma, as well as being an extremely empathetic and compassionate person. It meant a lot to me that her work is also influenced by mindfulness practices and the work of Brene’ Brown on shame and vulnerability. For me, someone who is familiar with these sources but has often found it difficult to apply them in meaningful and productive ways to my own issues, I felt heard, respected, and understood in a far more holistic way than I’d ever experienced before. Amy’s style is both supportive and challenging which allowed me to trust, learn, be authentic with my feelings and struggles.

I highly recommend Amy Wong Hope as a therapist who has a deep understanding and appreciation of her clients, and is able to meet them where they are.

  • I've never had a therapy experience with such tangible and often immediate results.

Working with Amy has been at once more focused and more far-reaching than other forms of talk therapy I've done. I love her ability to apply EMDR and somatic approaches to life events of all stripes, not just what I would think of as "trauma." It has been incredibly helpful to me for integrating both major, recent traumatic events and long-standing early childhood experiences that I had no idea were so significant. Amy's ability to hold all of this and to help me see the connecting threads and throughlines to my present-day life and issues have been invaluable. I've never had a therapy experience with such tangible and often immediate results. In just a year of work with her, I feel I've learned and integrated so much.

  • Her deep cultural competency, clinical experience, and commitment to liberation for all gave me the sense of safety that I needed to look with vulnerability at very old patterns of behavior and beliefs

In a climate where psychedelic medicine and coaching still feel like The Wild West, I turned to Amy as a trusted guide and resource for supporting my journey. Her deep cultural competency, clinical experience, and commitment to liberation for all gave me the sense of safety that I needed to look with vulnerability at very old patterns of behavior and beliefs that have prevented me from growing. Inward journeying is never easy but having the right person to support your inquiry makes a world of difference. I remain grateful for Amy's expert guidance and her integration support which has endured beyond the treatment room.

  • Amy Wong Hope helped me stabilize and re-inhabit my life...and live a life I choose rather than one of fear and reaction to past experiences.

Amy Wong Hope helped me stabilize and re-inhabit my life after experiencing long-term, debilitating, unpredictable sexual assault flashbacks that impeded my work, caused extreme anxiety and terror in normal, daily life, heavy depression, and ideation. Her deeply skilled work in trauma, compassion, patience, and ability to work with me exactly where I was not only allowed me to make it through that time, but begin to understand the patterns of my life that had kept me in a very difficult place since childhood. I have since been able to move forward in relationships, complete my Master's, begin a career, and live a life I choose rather than one of fear and reaction to past experiences. I will always be eternally grateful to Amy.

  • Kindness, grace and authentic listening; her insightful questions and EMDR were molded for ME and not from a textbook.

I worked with Amy throughout the pandemic, both in person and online, looking forward to each session and then feeling the transformation almost bubble up inside of me after our sessions. I went in wanting to get rid of my panic (like a magic pill I could just swallow), and realizing there was just so many more layers of generational/childhood trauma and fear of letting myself just BE in my own body without self-judgement and fear. Her approach was always with kindness, grace and authentic listening; her insightful questions and EMDR were molded for ME and not from a textbook. An approach so different from the talk therapy I had experienced in my early 20’s where I felt I was just talking at someone. Amy has been a resource for me and my family and children, guiding us to a real healthy and strong place, where I can finally be of service to them (any myself) with presence and love. I feel like my experience with Amy is now imbedded in my brain as a tool GROWing forward.

  • Amy brings mastery in both therapeutic skills and space holding to our therapy.

She is wise and insightful, while listening deeply. It is always clear that her goal is to understand me, not give me advice or strategies, so that when advice and strategies come they feel absolutely right for me. My work with Amy has deepened my trust in myself and allowed me to work on trauma long avoided and swept under a rug. She is one of the best and I can’t recommend her enough. — Client, 2024
