Psychedelic Preparation and Integration Consultation

As a seasoned psychotherapist who has treated trauma since 2010 and with a background in comparative religion and studies in human consciousness and systems, I support clients who are preparing for and integrating psychedelic encounters. Additionally, as the founder of the Psychedelic Studies program at Southwestern College, I provide evidence based research and psychoeducation during consultation, so that you can be well-informed in your choices around psychedelic usage.

I have been supporting clients in making sense of the traumas they have endured, reduce fear around triggers that are no longer a threat, and develop somatic and emotional regulation tools to help their nervous systems realize they are no longer in danger. I support clients in reclaiming (or claiming) their identity and strengths in post-traumatic growth processes.

When clients have had a negative, challenging or adverse experience with psychedelics, I can support them in re-orienting and making sense of what can feel overwhelming and confusing, so that they can identify and advocate for themselves, and decide what’s next.

Psychedelic preparation and integration is on a spectrum—from the level of consultation (which I can provide to anybody in any location), to a more psychotherapeutic approach (which I provide only to New Mexico residents, where I am a licensed social worker). When clients are integrating a psychedelic encounter, the integration can often turn into psychotherapy that is focused on transformative rites of passage, and it is during that time, that I use my clinical skills. I leave it open to you to define what the experience means to you, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. The timing is yours and I provide a space for you to focus on what’s important to you. My aim is twofold. First, before your psychedelic experience, I help you prepare as we explore expectations, intentions; questions for you and for your facilitator; and informed consent, touch, self-advocacy, and more. Afterward, I can support you in integrating what is meaningful to you in pragmatic ways, to get the most out of your experience. Sometimes clients will continue with my transformation services to further integrate changes into their identity, relationships, careers, and more.

I’ll be honest, integrating changes in perspective, behavior, and relationships is a painstaking process; change is not easy! If it were, you wouldn’t need me. Having someone facilitate your preparation and integration can make the process more efficient, and yes, even enjoyable. I offer pragmatic tools to help you become the master of what you wish to change.

I do not provide psychedelic-assisted therapy except with certain Ketamine providers in New Mexico. I do not provide referrals to underground psychedelic therapists. I do not advocate for anybody to use illegal substances. I provide education and contemplative inquiries so that you can make an informed choice.

I cultivate clients in learning their own processes for preparation and integration so that they can be their own facilitator. I do not believe in clients being dependent on facilitators, psychotherapists, or psychedelic-assisted therapists. I want to empower you to facilitate your own experience!
